* KUSHIMOTO MARINE PARK is the first established marine park in Japan.
* The park located along Sabiura Coast in Kushimoto, where is the southern-most point of Honshu, Mainland of Japan.
* The sea was designated as the marine park in July, 1970, associated with the Yoshino-Kumano National Park. Kuroshio Current washes the coast, so sea water is clear and stands at a high temperature all the year. In the under sea, a lot of reef corals and colorful tropical fishes make a beautiful underseascapes.
* Many coral reef organisms are living among the coral communities, and they make the northern-most coral reef ecosystem in the world.
