A local tour guide who is familiar with Aso's knowledge tells interesting stories about the Aso Caldera from its birth to the present day in an easy-to-understand way, from different aspects such as volcanoes, geology, history, culture, and beliefs. Strolling along the descending stone trail of Mount Kitawarin and stepping onto the caldera land, you can truly feel the scale of the world's largest caldera. In the volcanic land where people have lived for more than 2,000 years, visit scenic spots related to Aso's history, culture, and beliefs. During the trip, enjoy the yogurt and desserts grown in the Aso Grassland and have afternoon tea. Start walking from Niju Pass where you can see the Aso Caldera and the majestic active volcano Mount Aso. The trail we took is the old Togo street that connects Kumamoto (Higo Province) and Tokyo (Edo). It has a history of more than 400 years.
