- A tour of Murakami tea and salmon culture. Murakami tea, the northernmost tea produced in Murakami, is known as a rare native species in Japan with a deep and mellow sweet taste due to growing in the harsh environment caused by cold winds and snowfall.
- For lunch, we will visit Izutsuya, a restaurant specializing in salmon cuisine, which was once an inn where Matsuo Basho (haiku poet) stayed. Today, it is Murakami's salmon restaurant and is designated as a Tangible Cultural Property of Japan. The guests will enjoy the cuisine and “tea of Murakami, the northern limit of Japan” and “salmon” dishes.
