What to expect

From the meeting point, a shuttle will take you to Takata Matsubara Tsunami Reconstruction Memorial Park in Rikuzentakata City, where the tour will begin. After visiting the Tsunami Memorial Museum with an English-speaking guide, we will start cycling on electric bicycles to see the scars of the 2011 tsunami disaster and experience the reconstruction of the community through cycling. On the way, we will stop at a local guest house and learn from the cheerful landlady about the challenges of revitalizing her business and her attachment to the land, before returning to the final destination.
