- 1. Dance Performance and Costume Makeup Workshop
- Enjoy a 40-minute dance show followed by a 60-minute workshop where actors teach distinctive eye makeup techniques and provide the opportunity to try on theatrical costumes. Experience the artistry behind Taishu Engeki performances. One person will have the chance to try on kimono and makeup.
- 2. Dance Performance and Fan skills Workshop
- Enjoy a 40-minute dance performance and join a 60-minute workshop focused on traditional Japanese dance fans. Each participant receives a dance fan and learns fan skills from the actors, gaining insight into the elegance and precision of Taishu Engeki.

- What to expect

Enjoy a 40-minute dance show with a 20-min break and a 60-min dance workshop. Experience a lively and glamorous traditional performing art called "Taishu Engeki" which is different from Kabuki. The performers are traveling actors who move to different locations every 1-2 months to put on shows. In addition to traditional Japanese songs, they also perform dances to recent hit songs and Western music. A) 60-minute workshop of kimono dressing and makeup - a representative from the audience will experience kimono dressing and makeup on stage while others can enjoy a Q&A session. You can inquire about behind-the-scenes details that are usually unseen, take commemorative photos. B) 60-minute workshop on dance techniques using traditional Japanese fans - Everyone will receive a traditional dance fan as a gift. The actors will teach you dance techniques using the fans, while also sharing stories about their lives and performances. You can take commemorative photos and get your fan signed.
