- Overview
-
- The Nagoya Castle SHOGUN Experience is a unique immersive experience program staged in the magnificent Nagoya Castle Honmaru Palace, and the classic Sarumen Chaseki tea ceremony rooms.
- This exclusive experience is based on the visit by the third Shogun of the Edo Shogunate, Tokugawa Iemitsu, who stayed at Nagoya Castle enroute to Kyoto in 1634. The Sarumen Chaseki Tea Room and Nagoya Castle Honmaru Palace will be reserved exclusively for guests, who will assume the role of Shogun.
- After being welcomed with a traditional tea ceremony in the Sarumen Chaseki Tea Room, guests will enter the Honmaru Palace for a private tour with an expert guide.
- Our guests will then be professionally dressed in authentic shogun ceremonial attire and have professional commemorative photographs taken within the palace’s most prestigious Jorakuden Jodan-no-ma rooms, usually strictly off limits to the general public, and unique to this Nagoya Castle SHOGUN Experience program.
