Overview
  • Visit a factory that produces Nambu ironware, Japan's first designated traditional craft; tour around and sample some beer at Sekino-ichi, a historical craft beer factory that has been around for a hundred years; and lay your eyes on Chuson-ji Temple's Konjiki-do (Golden Hall), the only building that has retained its original form since it was built 900 years ago, and the first building to be designated as a National Treasure in Japan. On this 1-day tour, customers can have an authentic experience, and feel the passion that artisans have for creating their products as well as the delight that traditional crafts bring.
What to expect

Sekino-ichi is a historical brewery that has been around since the Edo period (1603-1868). Local beer is brewed in a former sake brewery. Tour around the craft beer factory, sample 4 kinds of beer, and explore the Museum of Sake Folk Culture. In 1999, the brewery buildings have been designated as Japan's Registered Tangible Cultural Property.
