You can take a 10km trip around Numashima, also known as "Ono Koro Island" which is related to the creation myth described in the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki, on a currently active fishing boat. With a veteran guide, you can view megaliths and strange rocks such as "Kami Tachigami Rock" and "Shimo Tachigami Rock" from the sea. You will learn about the legends, history, and crustal activity of "Ono Koro Island" while viewing the rocks said to be related to the myth. It is a course of about 1 hour that will give you a sense of the history and fishing industry of Numashima, as well as the origins of the myth and the history of the island.
