This plan allows you to easily experience the lives of local people who have lived closely with nature since the Jomon period in the Shirakami-Sanchi World Heritage Site. The area is close to the village, so you can rest assured that you will be guided by someone who was born and raised in the area.
First, we visited a waterfall that is popular among locals. It is easy to get to, but it has a hidden feel and is well worth seeing.
Next, you will experience picking wild vegetables. You will pick the most popular wild vegetable in the area, "Mizu", while listening to a lecture from a wild vegetable picking expert. When you return to Mori no Eki, you will learn how to peel the wild vegetables you picked and cook them the local way.
At the end of the day, we gather around the campfire for "gakko chakko," a gathering of close friends to chat while eating snacks such as gakko (pickles) and drinking tea.
