- What to expect

Enjoy two of Kyushu's most prominent festivals, the "Himeshima Bon Odori," an intangible folk cultural asset, and the "Thousand Lantern Dance," the highlight of the "Yamaga Lantern Festival," where a thousand women in yukata robes dance in a circle with lanterns on their heads. The fantastical world of flickering lights created by a thousand women is simply overwhelming. Enjoy a nature walk in Yufuin. Yunotsubo Kaido is lined with many restaurants, cafes, and souvenir shops. We also recommend a stroll around the beautiful Lake Kinrin. You will stay overnight at the famous Beppu Onsen hot springs.
