- Overview
-
- The popular series that has been running at the Tokyo National Museum of Nature and Science since 2010 is coming to Kyushu for the first time
- There are said to be over 6,500 species of mammals, living in a variety of environments around the world, including on land, in water, underground, and even in the air. By classifying them based on their characteristics and linking their relationships, we will uncover the various mysteries that emerge.
- The highlight of the museum is the area where the National Museum of Nature and Science presents a "grand parade" of about 200 stuffed specimens. From lions, pandas, okapis, and seals to small flying squirrels and moles, enjoy this lively "co-starring space" that you won't find in the wild or at a zoo. Also worth seeing are the entire skeleton of an Asian elephant and a life-size replica of a blue whale's heart.
