Mount Aso is known as the New Zealand of Japan and is a famous active volcano in Japan. Located in the northeast of Kumamoto Prefecture on Kyushu Island, it is the symbol of Kumamoto and is famous for its composite volcano with a large caldera.
Kamishikimi Kumanoza Shrine is one of the many famous power spots in the Aso area of Kumamoto Prefecture, and is also the setting for the movie "Firefly Forest".
[Kurokawa Onsen] has been selected as one of the top three hot springs in the Japanese public for many years. It is characterized by its tranquility and simplicity, although it is surrounded by modern big cities.
