This winter event, held at Shinzan Shrine in Oga City, Akita Prefecture, combines the Shinto ritual "Seido Festival" with the folk event "Namahage" to pray for good health. It is a strange festival that captivates people with its fantastical snow-covered mountains lit by Sedo fires and the powerful dance of the Namahage.
