Make a reservation for Osaka Shodoen Kitashinchi Branch on KKday! Enjoy dinner at a place just3 minutes walk from JR Kitashinchi Station. Founded in 1946 and famous for its yakiniku and shabu-shabu, Shokudoen was the first restaurant in Japan to season each part of meat. It was also the first to invent "tsuke-tare" (dipping sauce) after discovering its purpose of cooling grilled meat and its effect on the flavor of grilled meat. Shokudoen is said to be the originator of yakiniku, as it was the first restaurant in the world to introduce the "smokeless roaster," which prevents the smell and smoke of yakiniku from sticking to hair and clothing, which is now commonplace.
