In Biei, a town of hills, you can experience some hot new things: airboarding and snow surfing (yuki-ita). Young local farmers will teach you how. With airboarding, you lie face-down on an inflatable board and slide down head-first. Once you’ve experienced the thrill of riding over the snow at high speed, you'll be addicted. The yuki-ita snowboard, handmade by stacking boards, makes you feel as though you're surfing on the snow. These are fun, easy sports that anyone can learn. You too can enjoy them!
