Until the Aso Mountain Park Road is reopened, we will adjust your itinerary by extending your stay at Kusasenri and Asobo-no-Sato, similar to when crater viewing is impossible due to gas restrictions.

The Aso Nakadake Crater towers over one of the world's largest calderas. After viewing the dynamic scenery of the crater, actively spewing smoke, head to Kusasenrigahama, a grassland at 1,100 meters above sea level at its base. Enjoy the idyllic scenery symbolizing Aso, interwoven with two ponds and grazing horses. Enjoy lunch at Aso-no-Sato Kugino, where you can choose your own menu in a location with a panoramic view of the five peaks of Aso. In the afternoon, head to the mystical Takachiho Gorge. Stroll through the beautiful valley with its steep cliffs and emerald-green waters. Afterward, experience the world of myth by visiting Amano-Iwato Shrine, where legend has it that Amaterasu Omikami hid herself, and Amanoyasugawara, a mystical cave where eight million gods are said to have gathered.
