Overview
〇 "Choose your experience" according to your level and preferences:
・Beginner-friendly: You'll work together to decide on your favorite characters or the text you want to include, and then fill in the lantern that Mr. Hayakawa has sketched and outlined. It's easy for anyone to try, and you can achieve a beautiful result relatively easily.
Intermediate level: You will create your own letters or drawings from scratch. Recommended for those who want to create something from scratch or who want to pursue originality.
You can choose from two types of lantern shapes: rounded and elongated.

Each person will think of a character individually:
We'll work together to decide on the characters to put on the lantern, such as your name or famous characters. Don't worry, the guide will be flexible and can convert your name into katakana, suggest characters, and more.
Furthermore, we offer around 10 ink colors, allowing you to create unique and personalized lanterns.
What to expect

Visit a workshop that produces "Edo lanterns," which have a 120-year history, and experience writing characters under the guidance of traditional craftsman Fukuo Hayakawa. From beginner-friendly options such as filling in the outlines of your favorite characters to more elaborate calligraphy, you can create a one-of-a-kind lantern tailored to your preferences.
