- What to expect
-
This kimono rental shop is owned by a Chinese-Malaysian woman. Rather than the inkjet printing commonly used in rentals, the shop focuses on kimonos that make the most of the texture of the materials. The traditional designs in muted colors are flattering to women of all ages. Specially crafted obi sashes are available so that plus-size customers can enjoy elegant obi tying. They are suitable for hip measurements up to 130cm, and there is no additional charge for kimono upgrades, accessories, or plus sizes. Hair styling is tailored to suit hair length and texture, and traditional tsumami-zaiku and kanzashi hairpins are used instead of plastic for a natural and elegant look. The dressing room is a private studio that requires reservations and is open only to customers. You can relax in a comfortable space with privacy in mind. The shop also sells kimono-remade skirts handmade by the owner, as well as handmade accessories made by Taiwanese staff.
