Bushido is the code of conduct of the samurai. You will experience Iaido, the dominant art of swordsmanship practiced by samurai. Imagine a samurai swiftly and deftly slicing a roll of straw mat—that is Iaido. Iaido is a traditional martial art practiced by samurai that dates back about 6 centuries. Many people assume it would be difficult to get into the samurai mindset if you grew up in a completely different culture. Surprisingly, however, once you are in samurai attire with a sword and stand in the dojo keeping your back straight, you will understand: the world of bushido is accessible to everyone. Learn what Iaido is about from a master, and actually slash a piece of cardboard with a sword. Observe the master's demonstration up close and marvel at his skill. You will receive a certificate of completion at the end. Through the entire process, you will sense courtesy and discipline are the values prized by samurai
