Overview

・The steam inside the artwork makes it impossible to see even 1 meter in front of you, allowing you to enjoy the experience with all your five senses, including the scent of medicinal plants and herbs, the feel of fine steam, and the sound of underground water dripping onto the ceiling.

・The Oya Museum is a huge underground space spanning 20,000 square meters. It is also a symbol of the stone town that has continued since the Edo period. This huge space, created by the work of people who dug stones from the earth and brought them up, is as beautiful as a temple.

・Oya Temple, located inside a cave, is a stone Buddha carved into a natural rock wall called ``Oya Magaibutsu''. It has been designated as a national special historic site and an important cultural property, and symbolizes the city's history and culture as one of the cultural properties that make up the Oya Stone Culture, which is recognized as a Japanese heritage site.
