-Itinerary introduction- • Kawazu Sakura Festival (cherry blossom season: early February to late February) The Kawazu Sakura Festival is the earliest cherry blossom festival in East Japan. The cherry blossoms bloom earlier and become an event that many cherry blossom fans look forward to every year. The Kawazu Sakura trees stretch for about 4 kilometers along the Kawazu River, forming a magnificent cherry blossom tunnel. Food stalls line the streets along the river, where you can also buy local handicrafts and souvenirs. • Nihondaira Ropeway & Kunoyama Toshogu Shrine Toshogu Shrine, one of the oldest in Japan, is dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu. In the shrine museum, you can take a look at the swords, armor and daily items used by the man who unified Japan.
