[Shizuoka] Nagoya Shimizu Port & Kunozan Toshogu Shrine Full-Day Tour
- What to expect
-
Shimizu Port is one of Japan's three great ports. You can take a cruise to admire the magnificent scenery of Mount Fuji, a World Cultural Heritage site, up close. If you're lucky, you can even interact with seagulls. The climate here is warm all year round, making it ideal for sightseeing. You can also enjoy fresh seafood, such as Japan's top-grade tuna, as well as Suruga Bay specialties like sakura shrimp and whitebait. Kunozan Toshogu Shrine The main hall of Kunozan Toshogu Shrine, built in 1617, is a mausoleum dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu. By order of the second shogun, Tokugawa Hidetada, Tokugawa Yorinobu served as the chief supervisor, and Nakai Yamato no Kami Masakiyo was appointed as the master carpenter. Construction of the main hall began in May 1616 and was completed in December 1617, taking only 1 year and 7 months, an astonishingly short period. ![Image_20260327132035](https://res.klook.
