Overview
  • Ikaho Onsen, with a history of 1,300 years, is a famous hot spring resort in Gunma Prefecture, Japan. The core of the hot spring street consists of 365 steps (symbolizing the four seasons of the year), with hot spring hotels, souvenir shops and foot baths on both sides.
  • Enjoy a 30-minute all-you-can-eat strawberry feast. The strawberries grown on the farm have won numerous awards at the Japanese Strawberry Competition. You can enjoy strawberry picking from around December to late June each year.
  • Kawagoe's old town of kura-zukuri was formed during the Meiji era and boasts historical buildings imbued with the charm of the Edo period. Black tiled roofs stand side by side with traditional earthenware buildings, showcasing a unique retro charm.
What to expect

Departing from Ikebukuro or Shinjuku, the symbol of Ikaho Onsen is its 365 stone steps, the heart of the hot spring town. Flanking the stone steps are inns, souvenir shops, and restaurants, creating a picturesque scene. Climbing the stone steps leads to Ikaho Shrine, a popular spiritual spot. Kawagoe City retains its Edo-era charm, allowing visitors to journey through the Meiji, Taisho, Showa, and Heisei eras. Its historical architecture, cultural heritage, and the vibrant beauty of springtime throughout the year, along with the retro streets of Koedo Kawagoe, offer a unique and enriching experience. At the strawberry farm, enjoy an all-you-can-eat selection of large, sweet strawberries for 30 minutes.
