What to expect

Enjoy an up-close experience of observing and touching live eels, and watch the eel preparation process in a live performance. Savor the original taste of eel, a delicacy rarely enjoyed even by Japanese people, with "Shirayaki" (eel grilled without sauce) eaten with freshly grated wasabi, and enjoy a sake pairing (optional fee) selected specifically for this tour. The highlight of the Japanese cuisine, prepared by a craftsman with over 40 years of experience, is of course the Unaju (eel rice box) made with a secret sauce. Kawagoe is attractive for its easy access, being only 30 minutes by train from the heart of Tokyo, and its traditional townscape resembling Kyoto and Kamakura, as if you have slipped back in time to the Edo period. We also recommend a plan to enjoy Chichibu and Moomin Valley Park in the morning, and then enjoy strolling around Kawagoe from the evening.
