The largest fireworks display in western Japan is the Kanmon Straits Fireworks Festival, held on August 13 every year, on both sides of the Kanmon Strait connecting Honshu and Kyushu. In the huge sky, both sides compete to set off fireworks, and in just 30 minutes, a total of 15,000 fireworks fill the night sky.
