- Overview
-
Open water is a major feature when snorkeling and diving at Cape Maeda. There is no buoy fence. Instead, Blue Cave offers direct access to the ocean, allowing you to see all of the marvels that it has to offer! It may be a little intimidating for those who have never swum in the sea before, but the tour eases you into things with diving lessons and equipment training as well as a brief lesson on reef ecology. In addition, the tour enters Blue Cave from land, allowing you to ease into the water. After getting used to the water in the calm cave, you can enter the open sea and admire all kinds of tropical fish. Along the way, you will be able to view the intertidal ecology of Okinawa, see the beautiful blue light of Blue Cave, and get up close to marine life.
