- From the high ground within the castle, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the curves of the castle walls, the green of the trees, and the blue of the sky and sea.
- From late January to early February, the cherry blossoms inside and outside the castle bloom all at once, painting the area in vibrant pink.
- The History and Culture Center (free admission) displays a replica of the national treasure, Chiyokanmaru, which is said to have been owned by the Hokuzan King Hananchi. Its shining gold color is definitely worth seeing.

You can now book admission tickets to the World Heritage Site, Nakijin Castle Ruins, on KKday! These are the remains of the castle of the king of Hokuzan, a kingdom that ruled the northern part of the main island from the 14th to early 15th centuries. The sturdy castle walls and fortress remain, providing a glimpse into the power of the time. In 2000, it was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the "Gusuku Sites and Related Properties of the Ryukyu Kingdom."
