・What you can see from the observation deck in the sky is the rice terraces of the future. Kaminoyama is actually a rice growing village that has been going on for 1400 years. Recently, this terraced rice field has been updated with unique ideas that go beyond just rice cultivation.
・Learn about the deliciousness of Japan's proud eco-fuels, ``charcoal and firewood,'' which are locally produced for local consumption. As an introductory part, we'll try making firewood from trees, then try cooking using both charcoal and firewood! For dinner, we will make a charcoal-grilled meal using fresh ingredients from Kamiyama and ingredients from Okayama.
・Learn about life in rural areas from Daichi, a local friend (guide). After moving to the area, Daichi became involved in restoring the rice terraces, and realized that there were other traditions and cultures that were on the verge of being lost in the area, in addition to the rice terraces.
