- What to expect
-
In Ashikita, there is the "Utase-bune" boat, known as the Lady of the Sea and a symbol of the Shiranui Sea. This is a traditional fishing method that has been passed down in Ashikita for about 160 years, and is also called the Nagare-bune boat. The "Utase-bune" boat runs on the power of wind, tides, and nature without using an engine. Experience "Utase-ami fishing" up close, where bottom trawl nets are lowered to the seabed and pulled by a sailing boat, driven by the sea breeze! Right next to the port where the Utase-bune boat is located is the "Ashikita Utase Direct Sales Restaurant EBIAN." The restaurant serves shrimp dishes based on the concept of "fisherman's meals of Ashikita." After boarding the boat, enjoy the delicious "shrimp tempura bowl" at EBIAN! Why not try a special experience that you can't usually see?
