Mount Aso's Nakadake Crater is one of the few active volcanic landforms in Japan that can be seen up close. On-site, you can see the crater topography and rising white smoke, with distinct color gradations in the ground rocks, creating an overall stunning scene. This is the kind of attraction where "reality is more exaggerated than the photos," and those who enjoy natural wonders will be pleasantly surprised. Kusasenri is a large open grassland located at the foot of the volcano. The view is very expansive, with no tall buildings to obstruct it, and when the weather is good, the sky and grassland merge into one. It's easy to take great photos here, and it's also a great place to relax and take a walk, slowing down the pace; it's a very comfortable stop on the whole trip.
