Overview
Mount Aso, located in northeastern Kumamoto Prefecture, Kyushu, is a renowned active volcano in Japan. Its caldera is a rare sight in the world. It's one of the few places where you can see an active volcano up close.

Aso Mountain Kusasenri is a large grassland located at the northern foot of Mount Eboshi. In the center of the grassland is a pond formed by rainwater, and cattle and horses graze on the grassland. Various different scenery can be seen throughout the year.

Kumamoto is rich in natural hot springs, but few are as famous as Kurokawa Onsen. This mountain town boasts approximately 30 hot spring ryokans, each lined with black-themed retro-style ryokans, creating a striking sight.
