- Overview

Kumamoto Castle is also known as Ginkgo Castle. Today, in the square in front of the castle tower, there is a large ginkgo tree, which is the origin of Kumamoto Castle's nickname "Ginkgo Castle". It is said that the ginkgo tree in the Kato Shrine and this tree were both planted by Kato Kiyomasa himself. The current ginkgo tree is the new buds that grew again after being burned.
There are a total of 4 carriages in Aso Boys. In addition to the general designated seats, there are also panoramic seats in the front and rear carriages with 180-degree views. In carriage 3, there are a limited number of parent-child seats, as well as a picture book area, a Japanese-style room, and a ball pool designed specifically for children.
