Aso Shrine has a history of about 2,300 years, and is popular as a shrine that brings good luck in matchmaking and longevity. Six buildings, including the shrine and tower gate, are designated as important cultural properties of Japan, and the tower gate is the largest in Kyushu and is counted as one of the "Three Great Tower Gates of Japan". Kurokawa Onsen, which was listed with two stars in the 2009 Michelin Green Guide Japon, is a hot spring town that is attractive for its beautiful nature that changes with the seasons and abundant hot springs. We have about 1 hour and 30 minutes of free time, so you can enjoy bathing and walking at your leisure. Daikanbo is a spectacular spot that represents Aso. From here, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the Aso townscape, the Aso Five Mountains, and the Kuju mountain range.
