You can choose to take the Takachiho miniature train for sightseeing at your own expense, or visit Takachiho Shrine for prayers and sightseeing. 11:10 Stroll through Takachiho Gorge, check out Manai Falls, one of Japan's top 100 waterfalls, admire the "Onihachi no Chikaraishi" (Ogre Hachi's Power Stone), and walk across the "Takachiho Sandanbashi" (Takachiho Three-Tiered Bridge) which spans three eras; you can also experience a gorge boat tour at your own expense to enjoy the valley scenery up close. 14:20 Head to the Aso Mountain area: If Mount Aso volcano is open, you can observe the spectacular crater up close; alternatively, you can choose to experience horseback riding at Kusasenri Plateau and enjoy the natural highland scenery. 16:00 The day's itinerary ends, and we begin our return journey. 17:30 Arrive at Kumamoto Station and disperse on site.
