[Kagawa] Setouchi Triennale 2025 Hikida, Shido, Hikida area

• This summer-only bus tour will take you to three locations, Shido, Tsuda, and Hikita, newly added to the Setouchi Triennale 2025.

• ,Shido is an area with a charming townscape from the Edo period, centered around Shidoji Temple, the 86th temple on the Shikoku Pilgrimage. It once flourished as a key transportation hub between sea and land, and local specialties such as oysters and paulownia sandals were produced there. It is also famous as the birthplace of Hiraga Gennai, a genius who was active in the mid-Edo period.

• ,"Tsuda no Matsubara" is a scenic spot that has been selected as one of the "100 Best Beaches in Japan
• " and was planted in the early Edo period as a windbreak for Iwashimizu Hachiman Shrine. It has beautiful white sand beaches and black pine forests, and old pine trees over 600 years old stretch for 1 km. It is also famous as one of the best swimming beaches in the prefecture.
