Marugame City in Shikoku, Kagawa Prefecture, is designated as a national traditional craft area and is home to many fan-making artisans, and has come to be entrusted with fan-making from all over Japan. We encourage you to experience it firsthand. It is also wonderful to stroll through a stunning Japanese garden, a scenic beauty spot representative of Marugame, created in the early Edo period of 1688.
