[Hiroshima] Hiroshima: Calligraphy Workshop at a Traditional Folk Craft Shop
- What to expect
-
Calligraphy is more than an art form and a symbol of Japanese culture—it’s also a form of meditation. Guided by a third-generation calligraphy instructor who continues his family’s tradition, you’ll use handmade brushes from Kumano, Hiroshima's famous brush-making town, to enjoy a calm, creative moment of self-expression No experience is needed, as every step is clearly explained for complete beginners. Write your own name or a meaningful Japanese word on a fan or shikishi board, and take home a unique and lasting souvenir Sessions are small and private, with just 1 to 6 guests per session. The workshop takes place inside “Takumi,” a beloved 50-year-old folk craft shop whose walls are beautifully decorated with ukiyo-e prints, creating an authentic artistic atmosphere
