First stop: Gokokusan Kannon-ji Temple (10:30~13:00). Located in Gifu Prefecture, it is one of Japan's most famous ancient temples and the final temple of the Saigoku 33 Kannon Pilgrimage. It has a long history and is very popular. Every spring, it is also a very popular cherry blossom viewing spot. The long approach to the temple extends from the mountain gate and is lined with cherry trees on both sides.
