Depart from Nagoya city center in the morning and head to Inuyama Castle (including admission ticket). Inuyama Castle: The oldest existing castle tower in Japan, designated as a National Treasure. Afterwards, proceed to Ena Gorge Observatory, which features cliffs and precipices with strangely shaped rocks formed by natural erosion. It stretches from the artificial lake created by the Oigawa Dam blocking the Kiso River all the way to Nakatsugawa upstream. Finally, visit Magome-juku (まごめ, Magome-juku), a Michelin Green Guide one-star destination. Due to the treacherous roads that were difficult for horses to traverse, travelers had to leave their horses at the post station, hence the name "Magome-juku," as well as Tsumago-juku, which is said to have been named because brides in ancient times waited here for their grooms to come and marry them. Return to Nagoya city center.
