- The Shirakawa-go Light-Up is Japan's most magical winter spectacle, open to the public on only four designated days each year (January 12, January 18, January 25, and February 1 in 2026). For four short nights, tourists from all over the world flock here, making tickets and slots hard to come by. On these rare nights, the snow-covered gassho-style village is lit up by twinkling lights, as if time has stopped in a fairytale world. Witnessing this scene with your own eyes is not only a travel memory, but also an unforgettable winter night miracle. This tour departs from Nagoya, taking you to the old streets of Takayama, the "Little Kyoto of Hida", during the day, and arriving at Shirakawa-go in the evening to enjoy the light-up. There is no need to worry about reservations and transportation, as the entire trip is accompanied by bilingual (Chinese/English) guides, allowing you to easily grasp this precious experience that only happens four days a year. - Pre-trip notice: We will send the guide and vehicle
