Ena Gorge is a relatively niche but very "Japanese-atmosphere" cherry blossom viewing spot in Gifu Prefecture. Compared to popular attractions, it is quieter here, more suitable for taking photos and slowly enjoying the scenery. Approximately 200 to 300 cherry trees (mainly Somei Yoshino) are distributed along both banks of the gorge and the lakeside promenade. The combination of cherry blossoms + lake water + strange rocks is very unique, and you can enjoy it by boat on a clear day. Takato Castle Site Park is one of Japan's most famous cherry blossom viewing spots, even known as the "Number One Cherry Blossom in the World," and is listed alongside Yoshino Mountain in Nara and Hirosaki Park in Aomori as one of the "Three Great Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots in Japan." Highlights Sakuragumo Bridge: Standing on the bridge, the cherry blossoms spread out like a sea of clouds. Alps background: Snow-capped mountains and cherry blossoms in the same frame (rare).
