What to expect

This is the largest temple in Yamanashi Prefecture, and the entire mountain is the temple. It is famous among locals but not known by tourists. There are many historical buildings and a five-story pagoda. You can eat dumplings at the top of the mountain and enjoy local sake if you want, which is included in the tour price. You can take a cable car to the top of the mountain and then (if you want) walk back down the mountain trail. (Basically, it's a course where you go up and down the mountain using a cable car.) Along the way, there are the graves of famous feudal lords from the past who have been forgotten by history, as well as the graves of monks who died at the temple. It is possible to reach the summit by hiking along the trail in about an hour and a half, but this is not recommended for those who are not confident in their physical strength.
