- Overview
-
- This is the area upstream of the Tama and Akigawa Rivers, where people have long come and gone from the city center (called "Edo") and its development was supported by charcoal burning as fuel and forestry as building material. It will change your image of "Tokyo" in a deeper and more three-dimensional way.
- It will be an unforgettable day as a fun, tasty, refreshing, and fulfilling page of your trip.
- For lunch, you'll dine at a popular local restaurant that's been renovated from an abandoned school. You can choose from several menu items, such as the grilled river fish set meal unique to this region.
- This is a fantastic journey where you can experience Japan's mountain trails and the beauty of its four seasons, including cherry blossoms in spring and maple leaves in autumn. You'll be able to breathe in fresh air and enjoy the surroundings. Although it's quite a challenging trip, an electric bicycle will make it easier for you to navigate.
