**Geibikei Gorge** is an officially recognized national natural monument and is listed as one of the 100 greatest landscapes of Japan. The boat ride is guided by boatmen propelling the boats with wooden poles, an experience unique in all of Japan. The 90-minute tour leads about one kilometer into the gorge and back. At the turning point, passengers leave the boat for 15-20 minutes to walk a few hundred meters further into the gorge.
