Mii-dera Temple: A valuable temple that has preserved and passed down numerous cultural assets, and is the head temple of the Tendaijimon sect. Ishiyama-dera Temple: Famous as the starting point of "The Tale of Genji," it is built on a huge piece of wollastonite. Philosopher's Path: A 2km-long walking path along which water flows from a canal drawn from Lake Biwa. Metasequoia Avenue: A beautiful spot with metasequoia trees on both sides of the road.
