Today, we will visit a total of 3 attractions: Lake Biwa Observatory or Sanzen-in Temple --- Metasequoia Tree Avenue of Lake Biwa or Makino Highland Onsen Sarasa --- Shirahige Shrine of Lake Biwa. It's a fulfilling itinerary, starting now. - First stop: Lake Biwa Observatory (Visits from May 1, 2025 to October 31, 2024) The scenery here is excellent, as if the sky and lake are connected in one line. Standing on the observation deck at an altitude of 1,100 meters, you can enjoy a 360-degree unobstructed view of the entire Lake Biwa, and the beautiful scenery is intoxicating. It is an excellent place for taking photos. Sanzen-in Temple (Visits from November 1, 2025 to April 30, 2026) An ancient Tendai sect temple, with cherry blossoms in spring, hydrangeas in summer, maple leaves in autumn, and snow in winter, as beautiful as a picture scroll.
