## 【Kiyomizu-dera Temple】 Founded in 778, Kiyomizu-dera Temple is famous for matchmaking and is the oldest temple in Kyoto. Known as "Kiyomizu no Kannon," it has been visited by common people since the Heian period. The stage-style main hall (a national treasure) extends forward from the cliff, with cherry blossoms and fresh greenery in spring, autumn leaves in fall, and beautiful scenery in all four seasons as its backdrop. Within the grounds are 15 important cultural properties, including the inner sanctuary, Amida Hall, and a three-storied pagoda.
