* Ise Grand Shrine Located in Ise City, Mie Prefecture, Ise Grand Shrine is the most representative sacred site among all shrines in Japan, revered as the "spiritual home of the Japanese people." To distinguish it from other shrines with the same name, it is specifically referred to as "Ise Grand Shrine." The entire complex consists of the Inner Shrine, "Kotaijingu" (Naiku), and the Outer Shrine, "Toyouke Daijingu" (Geku), which respectively enshrine Amaterasu Omikami (the Sun Goddess) and Toyouke Omikami. It also includes numerous auxiliary shrines, affiliated shrines, and subordinate shrines, collectively known as "Jingu," totaling 125 shrines.
