[Kyoto] Kyoto Nijo Castle & Imperial Palace Half-Day Private Tour

With this private 5-hour tour, you will not only enjoy Japanese history and culture but also clearly and simply discover what fascinated you about Japan. I am an official licensed guide certified by the Kyoto City Tourism Office. I designed this tour to be easy to understand while keeping it engaging. Our first stop is Nijo Castle, where I will share stories about the power struggles between samurais and the Shogun, the supreme samurai ruler. Next, we’ll visit the Kyoto Imperial Palace, where the emperor lived for over a thousand years. At midday, we’ll take a break at Nishiki Market — known as Kyoto’s kitchen. We will end our tour at the rarely visited Rokkakudo Temple, known for its unique hexagonal architecture, its role as the birthplace of ikebana.
