Held annually in Kyoto, one of the world's premier cultural cities, KYOTOGRAPHIE transforms the entire city into a stage for photography. Through meticulous collaboration between artists, curators, exhibition designers (set designers), and local artisans, the festival presents site-specific exhibitions in symbolic and unexpected spaces ranging from historical buildings to contemporary landmarks. In 2025, the festival welcomed 297,658 visitors, bringing its cumulative attendance to over 2.1 million since its inception.
